Trends in AML/CFT
This session aims to provide you with some of the latest trends in AML/CFT covering the recent known typologies in money laundering, and developments in terrorism.
Legal Issues in Anti-Money Laundering Regulations
To comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations in Singapore, it is important for professionals including corporate service providers (CSPs), chartered accountants and lawyers to understand the need for adequate AML processes. This would include conducting customer due diligence (“CDD”) and risk assessment, record keeping and the filing of suspicious transaction reports if necessary. This session will give a brief overview of some of the key legal issues relating to AML regulations in Singapore.
EP200 Reviews - common mistakes and how to avoid them
Public accountants are required to comply with Ethics Pronouncement 200 (EP200). This session aims to highlight some of the common mistakes found during regulatory EP200 reviews, and how to avoid these mistakes. It also covers how public accountants can integrate EP200 with their SSQC (Singapore Standards on Quality Control) requirements.
